ABOUT OUR PHILANTHROPY

Arthritis

Alpha Omicron Pi’s international philanthropy is arthritis, and our philanthropy partner is the Arthritis Foundation. Since 1967, members and chapters have raised millions of dollars to fund research, provide resources, and support those affected by arthritis, a disease that disproportionately impacts women and also affects children.

AOII’s philanthropy dollars support several impactful Arthritis Foundation initiatives, including the Juvenile Arthritis Power Pack program, Juvenile Arthritis Camps, the Juvenile Arthritis Family Summit, and the 24/7 Helpline. Our Canadian sisters proudly support The Arthritis Society of Canada, furthering our shared mission to fight arthritis and improve lives.

OUR Local Efforts

Locally, Kappa Omicron supports the Metamorphosis Project. Over the last few years, members have had the opportunity to volunteer and make a difference in the greater Memphis community. Kappa Omicron works with the Metamorphosis Project to help in their mission to "create and implement responsive and transformative programming to meet the needs of the unhoused and hungry in our community." As a chapter, we are proud to be involved with this organization and hope to help bring a positive impact to Memphis.
